As a blind person in the business
world, I have always had trouble giving the impression that I was
computer savvy. It was difficult to perform the so-called simple tasks
of sending and receiving email unless I had someone there to help
me. If I ever had to send an email by myself, I would have to guess
that I was in the correct email window to type text and hope that
I was clicking on the correct button to send. For this reason, email
was very discouraging for me. Often times I would not even bother
to check my email, leaving 30-40 messages without a response.
MailCall has made my life so much easier! It has even given my wife
more free time because she was usually the one who had to read my
emails and write what I would dictate to her for a response. I am
so happy that these hindrances have been eliminated. Because MailCall
is audio email, I can now check my email anytime I want. I am up to
date with all of my emails, responding to them with my voice within
minutes of receiving them.
It is so easy to access email and I don’t need to take the time
to get on a computer. I just use my cell phone’s voice memory
to call MailCall, press #, enter my pin and I have my email. The 12
buttons on the phone are much easier to touch accurately than the
many keys on a keyboard. Even navigating through MailCall’s
menus is easy because the prompts tell you clearly which button to
press. I can choose which emails I want read, deleted or even forwarded.
My favorite baseball team, the New York Mets, is having a busy off-season.
I look forward to using MailCall’s web reader to stay up to
date with their transactions and the upcoming season.
I am very happy MailCall was at the New York Federation of the Blind
Convention. I look forward to telling all of my friends and colleagues
about this product. There are many blind individuals out there that
do not have email addresses because of the hassle of visual email.
MailCall makes it so easy for anyone to keep in touch with friends
and family members that I am telling my blind friends to get email
addresses just to use MailCall! |
