I was introduced to MailCall
and starting using the service about a month ago. I was at first intimidated
by the process but Josh assured me, “if you know how to use
voice mail, using MailCall will be just as easy!” He was right!
Remembering the right prompts to hit is really the hardest thing about
it.
I like things that are simple, efficient, and maximize my performance
as a manager. MailCall is just that tool. I have a lap top with an
unlimited wireless connection so I have access to my email whenever
I want it. But what about when I’m driving? Or when my lap top
is powered down and I need to send an email? Or what if the email
is of a sensitive nature and my voice tone and inflection is vital
to getting the message across?
Using MailCall has allowed me to broaden my ability to be connected,
to send and receive email, and to allow people to hear my voice in
sending an email. Here is a scenario. I had to run to a jobsite. I
left my lap top at the office because I’m only going to be gone
for 20 minutes. On my way I remember something but I do not want to
forget it. I hit “MailCall” in my contact list, press
#, pin, # then 0 and I send myself a voice email. Or, I notice something
on a job that my superintendent needs to know but I want to explain
it. I dial MailCall, press his mailbox, send a voice email, and then
on his lap top he is able to play the email with my voice giving him
the instructions! It’s awesome—and eliminates all room
for doubt or misunderstanding. It’s also a great tool if you
want someone to get the point which only your real voice can do.
Anyone who has an email address can be on your MailCall list. But
I guarantee you this—once they receive a voice MailCall from
you, they will want to be on the list as well! |
